SM Cross Flow Towers

Crossflow cooling towers are a type of heat exchange system utilized for cooling water in industrial and HVAC applications. In these towers, hot water is distributed over fill media at the top, forming thin films or droplets. Air is then drawn horizontally across the descending water by fans or natural draft, moving perpendicular to the water flow. As the air passes through the descending water, heat is exchanged through the process of evaporative cooling. Cooled water collects at the tower’s bottom and is recirculated for reuse, while warm, moisture-laden air exits from the sides. Unlike counterflow towers, in a crossflow tower, air travels horizontally across the direction of the falling water. Known for their simplicity and ease of maintenance, crossflow cooling towers find widespread use in diverse applications for efficient heat dissipation.

ACTPL has introduced the “SM Series” cross-flow cooling towers, which have received CTI certification and are specifically designed for industrial sectors such as Chemical, Pharma, Food Processing, and data centers. Engineered for enhanced energy efficiency, these towers are tailored to meet on-site requirements, reducing energy losses in components like motors, fans, and transmission drives. The overall improvement in cooling tower capability is a notable feature of the “SM Series.” Moreover, these towers facilitate easier maintenance of the entire unit.
